This bike tour includes the visit of 4 exclusive medieval villages. The first one is Campiglia Marittima, where we will stop for a coffee break. We will continue to Suvereto for a light lunch with typical products. Along the famous “99 curves” road, we will reach Sassetta and Castagneto Carducci, where a tasting awaits us at the long-established Borsi liqueur factory.
We will ride our bikes through the Rimigliano park and reach Poggio al Molino for a visit to the site with an archaeologist. Heading south along the coast, we will reach the enchanting Gulf of Baratti and, up the hill, the castle of Populonia. We will visit the Gasparri museum and the tower of Populonia, to enjoy the view of the islands and the entire Etruscan coast. Before cycling back, we will stop at the Poggio Rosso winery for a visit and a tasting.
We will ride on the cycle lane to the Marina of San Vincenzo and reach the pier with the Statue of the Sailor, icon of San Vincenzo.
We will head north towards Tenuta le Colonne winefarm, visit the wine shop and taste the first wine. We will then reach a terrace in the vineyards for the most exclusive sundowner!
